Growing up playing pond hockey everyday was a blast! It still is. But how do you know if the ice is safe? There are now standards to follow for people that skate, cross country ski, ice fish, or drive a truck across the ice. A truck across! Yes! If you live in the north many ice fishermen pull their ice shanties on to a frozen lake with their vehicles. So let’s make sure the ice is safe for every activity.
